A wandering minstrel I —
A thing of shreds and patches,
Of ballads, songs and snatches,
And dreamy lullaby!
My catalogue is long,
Through every passion ranging,
And to your humours changing
I tune my supple song!
I tune my supple song!

The above is taken from Gilbert and Sullivan’s Mikado. Bruce from: http://bonzablogger.wordpress.com/ suggested that as I’m no longer focusing solely on granny type articles, my theme can be that of a ‘subject wanderer’. As I tend to wander from topic to topic, I thought it might suit.

But it is not set in stone, I’m just trying it on for size. Do let me know whether you think it will work. And if you’ve got a suggestion of your own, I’ll be happy to hear from you.

  1. PS, and the function of this silly app still challenges me. I like the name change, probable gives you more scope, though I still remember how I laughed out loud at the first of your posts that I ever read about grand parenting! 😉

    • Not sure if I’ll stay with that title. I’m not really a minstrel, just an in the shower warbler, Still, I’ll leave it for a bit and see if I can somehow grow into it.

      • I think it’s worth a run Mary but you have to be happy with it. I wonder if you just made it A Wandering Minstrel (your thought) or as Marlyn suggested, The Minstrel. I favour your idea of A Wandering Minstrel and figure you’d probably get quite a few hits on the title alone. I googled minstrel and the term ‘minstrel or a wandering ministrel’ seems to stand out, Your ‘About me’ page would have to reflect your blog content. That’s wandering not wondering. Also, in your header, you have a typo in wandering.

      • Thanks Bruce, you’re right about the ‘About Me’. I’m wedded to some of that stuff, but I am planning to look at it soon. I fixed up the Minstral/Minstrel part, that was just a typo, but I’ve changed Wandering to Wondering on purpose. As in, I’m wondering what the hell I’m doing. 🙂
